Authenticity
The top quote on this page is an “ah ha!” moment that happened during a therapy session. The quote half hidden underneath was also in that same session. However, it didn’t (and still doesn’t) feel quite true and thus, is partially hidden. Underneath it says, “I will cry when I learn it’s safe and not wrong”.
Also to go with this page:
After a lifetime of feeling invisible, broken, and unworthy, even evil, the realization came quietly — like dawn spilling gently over a dark horizon. For the first time, she felt it, not as a thought, but as a certainty: God loves me. Not despite her flaws, not in pity, but fully, endlessly. The weight of shame she had carried for years began to lift, and in its place came a trembling, radiant hope. She was not an afterthought. She was seen, known, and chosen. The truth didn’t roar – it whispered – and it changed everything.
This narrative lasted for a few days. And then it sank back to where it had been hidden. I’m still struggling. Now I have a goal: to get back the authenticity of this day. To again know the truth.
